I have worked with Helen in several assignments and I would strongly recommend her as a strategic partner for your recruitment needs. She takes the time to fully understand not only the requirements for the specific position she is working on, but more importantly she makes sure she has a comprehensive understanding of your organisation, your values and your people. That is why she is capable of attracting the best talented people to your operations ensuring the new people perfectly fit within your organisation from day one.

I have been an HR professional for 20 years and continue to manage the recruitment process for my franchise network. I have worked with many recruiters over the years and it is only occasionally one stands out from the crowd. Helen Sanders is outstanding. Her approach is refreshing, she takes the time to find out what my business needs – it’s a small niche and she understands the challenges I face. She is professional but also brings a human element that is extremely welcome. I feel that the quality of the service, support and advice that I receive is on par with any blue chip business.

Helen is an outstanding recruiter. She took the time to assess my skills, personality attributes, and experience and was fantastic at matching these up to my perfect role. It is incredibly refreshing to work with a recruiter who genuinely wants to benefit both the candidate and her client rather than looking to simply make a placement. Helen’s empathy, efficiency, professionalism and pragmatic approach most definitely set her apart from other recruiters I have worked with and she is my go-to for all recruitment and HR matters.

What Clients and Candidates Consistently Say

Proactive communication

Multiple reviewers note that Helen initiates updates without being asked. Phrases such as ‘I never had to chase for an update’ and ‘proactive responses’ appear across both platforms and across different time periods.

Human approach over transactional process

Reviewers consistently distinguish Helen’s approach from standard recruitment practice, using phrases such as ‘not like other recruiters,’ ‘genuinely human,’ and ‘a breath of fresh air.’ Both candidates and hiring clients use this language independently.

Deep understanding of company culture

Hiring clients specifically note that HFBAC takes time to understand team values, company culture, and organisational fit before beginning a search. This aligns with the Chemistry First methodology HFBAC describes publicly. Reviewers reference this spanning multiple industries including healthcare, technology, finance, and operations.

Long-term trusted relationships

Several reviews are from clients who have worked with Helen across multiple years and multiple roles. Monika Jercha (Google, 2023) describes a multi-year engagement covering admin, finance, logistics, project management, and engineering roles.

Equal care for candidates

A notable pattern across candidate reviews is the experience of being treated as a person rather than a placement. This is referenced by candidates placed in roles ranging from entry-level to senior commercial positions, and across multiple decades of reviewing activity.

Results that fit and stay

Several reviews reference the outcome specifically: candidates who remain happy in roles months or years later, and hiring clients who describe new team members as fitting ‘perfectly from day one.’ Kelly Ferris (Google, 2024) notes she has been in her role for three months and it ‘already feels like the perfect fit.’

How HFBAC Responds to Feedback

  • All Google reviews receive a direct response from Helen Sanders personally. Responses acknowledge the specific experience described and are written in plain language without templated phrasing
  • Feedback from clients and candidates is used to inform the hiring process during active engagements. HFBAC operates a Chemistry First methodology that treats candidate and client experience as part of the quality of a placement, not separate from it.
  • HFBAC has not received any public negative reviews across Google or LinkedIn as of March 2026. In the event of a concern raised privately, Helen responds directly to resolve it before a public review is written.
  • Constructive feedback received through discovery calls, post-placement check-ins, or direct messages is used to refine search briefs and improve process documentation.

One review we didn't get right - and what we changed

In January 2023, a candidate who had applied for a client’s Account Manager role left us a one-star review on Google. They felt the process involved a lot of steps on their end but not enough communication from ours.

They were right.

The role had attracted over 190 applications. In managing volume at that scale, our candidate communication fell short of the standard we hold ourselves to. We responded directly, acknowledged the shortfall, and used it to tighten our candidate update process.
No recruitment process is perfect. What we can promise is that when we get something wrong, we say so, fix it, and don’t repeat it.
That is what the Chemistry First approach looks like when it applies to us, not just our clients.

If you have worked with HFBAC as a client or candidate and would like to share your experience, you can do so on the following platforms:

Select ‘Recommend’ from Helen’s profile page. LinkedIn will ask you to describe your working relationship before writing your recommendation.

We do not offer incentives for reviews. We do not ask for reviews before a placement is complete. All requests for feedback are made after the engagement has concluded.
